| Lucien is a black & red brindled phantom from Jim Thompson in California. He is very heavily brindled, so much so that his phantom pattern has gotten difficult to see. He is still beautifully marked under all those stripes! |
| A note about tails!!! |
| People ask about tail length quite often. Our boys present the perfect opportunity to address most of them here. The breed standard requires the poodle tail be docked by one third. (Removing one third of the tail, not leaving one third.) Both of the boys pictured above have non-standard tail length. Magnum's tail was left natural, not docked at all. Lucien's tail is quite short. The decision to dock or not, and to what length, was made when they were born by the breeders we acquired them from. Both dogs are lovely and we are very happy with them. |
| Unless arrangements are made prior to their birth, all Snow Creek poodles will arrive with their tails docked to the breed standard of two thirds the original length, about halfway between the two boys you see here. I am happy to leave a tail natural, or even to dock a bit shorter if you prefer, upon request. As tails are typically done within 24 hours after they are born, arrangements would have to be made immediately after or preceding their arrival. |

| Stud service is available to healthy dogs of sound temperment. While I myself raise Standard Poodles, we have provided stud service to Golden Retrievers and Labradors on occasion. All females must arrive with current brucellosis test results and rabies certificate. Stud fees vary so please contact us for rates if you are interested in using one of our boys. |
